“I receive positive energy from honest and loving relationships between family, friends, and lovers. Of course, there’s also the love I receive from my fans.”
JANG GEUN SUK
(or Jang Keun Suk
sometimes Jang Geun Seok)
His latest movie in December 2011, with Kim Ha Neul, You’re My Pet (a movie adaptation of the Japanese drama Kimi wa Petto), as expected, garnered much attention not only from his Korean fans, but fans from Japan and other Asian countries. It was during the filming of this movie, in September 2011, when Jang Geun Suk finally signed up for a twitter account, and used “@AsiaPrince_JKS” as his username. He kept his fans updated with his daily tweets, twitpics (photos posted in twitter) and sometimes, he posts videos of him, which delighted the fans, even though his posts are in Korean language. Fans all over the world that follows him are contented and happy whenever they see the username “@AsiaPrince_JKS” on their timeline, and just rely on some kind-hearted fellow that translates his tweets into English. Some Korean fans are even luckier to have their tweets to the Korean superstar being answered by their idol, through an RT or retweet by the Asian Prince.
His latest tv drama was titled Love Rain, with his latest leading lady Im YoonA, a member of the famous Korean girl group Girls’ Generation. Though the drama was aired in Korea on March 2012, the rights to air this drama has already been “bought” by ABS-CBN to air here in the Philippines on the Kapamilya Network, December of 2011. He’s been going back and forth to Korea and Japan, as he was also doing a series of Arena Tour (concerts), commercial advertisments and other activities in Japan. Last January 15, 2012, Arirang TV aired on their program Showbiz Korea, the result of their survey as part of their 2011 year-end special. The survey is addressed to their foreign viewers and are asked to chose their Favorite Korean Actors, where Jang Geun Suk ranked #2, proving that his looks, amazing talent and his charisma reigns, and truly living up to his title as the “Asian Prince.”
